Hi friends!  I thought I would load the original book onto the blog so people without the ability to see the website(it has flash animation that can't be seen on the I-Pad or any other APPLE product for that matter) can read the book to their children!! So here goes.........

A Halloween Lesson

Hi friends!!! I know I have been MIA for several weeks now. The fact of the matter is I've been finishing up the Halloween book!! I know- Halloween has come and gone!  But, nevertheless, I think a good Halloween story is always a welcome addition to any child's library!! Don't you agree??  Here is the cover. Hope you like it!! More Halloween!!

Here is more of the story!!!

This year Little Lilly Polka Dot had a very hard time deciding what she wanted to be. She thought and thought and thought for days and days. She asked everyone for ideas, even Marshmallow. Finally she decided. She is going to be a………beautiful princess! But not just any ordinary beautiful princess. She is going to be a VERY MERRY princess. And when people give her candy she will skip and hop around in a circle chanting “ A very merry princess yes that’s me, hopping and skipping, look at me!” “WOW this is going to be so much fun!” Little Lilly Polka Dot said to herself! And she laughed out loud just thinking about trick or treating in this costume! “This is the best costume ever” she thought.

Halloween is Coming!!

Hi Friends. I thought that I would add an illustration or two for the Halloween story sneak peek preview!! So here goes:

Little Lilly Polka Dot loves Halloween.

Every year she wears a fun  costume.

Once she was a witch. When she went out trick or treating in this costume she would say “I’m the wicked witch of the north and I’m going to turn you into a frog!!” And then she would wave her arm and shout “1-2-3 pouf! You’re a frog”. Her friend Chippie thought that was very very funny! Hee hee hee!

 Another time she was a mermaid. When she went out trick or treating in this costume she would sing “Mermaid mermaid down by the sea, we can make music, you and me”. And then she would pretend that she was swimming through the deep blue sea. Chippie laughed and laughed when she did this. Ha ha ha!

And yet another time she was a spotted cow. When she went out trick or treating in this costume she would say  “Hula hula moo moo, I love you!” And then she would make the hula hoop circle fast around and around her waist! Chippie thought this was hilarious! Hee hee hee!

The Wickeds

Do you have "the wickeds"? With Halloween coming, it is probably easy to imagine what "the wickeds" are!  But it's not that easy, my friends. I overheard Little Lilly Polka Dot the other day telling her friend Chippie that she has "the wickeds". She explained why she had them and how she got them. I'm thinking, oh my gosh, is this a new childhood disease that I don't know about that was diagnosed by the school nurse? Nah, I thought to myself, it's just her imagination running wild- AGAIN!! And so later on in the day I asked  about her "wickeds". She tells me(and this is really good so pay attention)- "Well mommy I heard you and daddy arguing the other day and he said you were wicked. So when I argued with you the day I played with Chippie, I thought you would tell me I had the 'wickeds' too. And I think I got them from you so now you and I both have them". Well, I just about fell off my chair laughing. How cute are kids?  They always come up with a funny twist when they interpret things in their own special way. Let me know what funny stories you have about your conversations with your kids!!

Sneak Preview

Hi friends!!  The Halloween story is coming along nicely!! I thought I would give you a sneak preview. So here is a snippet:

LITTLE LILLY POLKA DOT LOVES HALLOWEEN. EVERY YEAR SHE WEARS A FUN POLKA DOTTED COSTUME. ONCE SHE WAS A POLKA DOTTED WITCH. WHEN SHE WENT OUT TRICK OR TREATING IN THIS COSTUME SHE WOULD SAY "I'M THE WICKED WITCH OF THE NORTH AND I'M GOING TO TURN YOU INTO A FROG!!" AND THEN SHE WOULD WAVE HER ARM AND SHOUT " 1-2-3 YOU'RE A FROG!" ALL HER FRIENDS THOUGHT THAT WAS VERY FUNNY! HEE HEE HEE!

YIKES!

Hi friends. Wow where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday that I posted the last blog entry and well... it's been 10(yes 10!!) days since I posted that entry!! YIKES!! So sorry!! Little Lilly Polka Dot is still living in her polka dot world...eating polka dot toast, dressing in her polka dot dresses, filling her polka dot back pack up with good yummy polka dot snacks to take to school and hauling Marshmallow, her polka dotted kitty, around like a sack of potatoes. Of course, Marshmallow loves the attention and just purrs as she gets carried from room to room and plopped down wherever Little Lilly Polka Dot stops to play. Most of the time, Marshmallow is recruited as Little Lilly's play buddy and suffers the indignity of whatever happens to her while serving in this capacity. I just love being in the house with these two- they are so entertaining.

Anyway, just checking in. It's late here in sunny Florida and I need to get some beauty sleep. It's back to the artist's drawing board tomorrow so I can try to get the illustrations for the Halloween story done!!

This is the cutest little website I have come across for children! I don't have any kids at home but I got my grandson who lives in South Carolina to get his mom to let him watch this and even though it is about a girl he laughed so much his mom said it was infectious and she broke out laughing with him!

This website is all about children and you gotta let them watch at least once. When I was first approached about doing a review on a blog and not a product I was a little apprehensive because I would not have any pictures to show and I really had none for this at all except I copied her button and put it here. Of course it does not work being inside of a review or else I just don't know how to get it to work. The link is further down in bold purple lettering.

I hope you stop by her website and follow her and also let your children go and watch her wonderful website she created just for our children where all the activities are for them to sing, play and just have fun!
